Key notes
Even though users are now busier than ever, checking out everything the new OS has to offer, there is one question that most of them were itching to get answers to.
Willgames run smoother on Windows 11? Based on community feedback, video games seem to perform better on the new OS than on Windows 10.
Because we’re very interested in this new OS release from Microsoft, we decided to ask our readers what they think about the possible name and if they would be interested in upgrading.
As a result,we created an exclusive surveythat covers the answers of WindowsReport users from across the globe.
Around 8000 people from 152 countries answered, and 6052 users finished the survey. Most of the results come from the US, but the UK, India, Canada, and Australia are not far behind either.
How are games performing on Windows 11?
Social media platforms have been taken by storm by users wanting to share their Windows 11 gaming experience with the rest of the world.
Although some thought this OS wouldn’t support games too well, we are happy to say this is not the case.
As wepreviously discussed, Windows 11 runs a lot smoother and faster than its predecessor, so it should be no surprise that games will also perform better on this improved OS.
Some games users have tried on the new operating system were Minecraft, Far Cry, and Crash 4.
However, most gamers were interested in some of the more recent, system requirements-hungry games, like The Callisto Protocol, Football Manager, etc.
As one of the Reddit users points out, he was more than impressed with the OS’s performance he was more than impressed after trying A Plague Tale Requiem and Stray (an indie game in which you play as a cat).
The titles worked flawlessly on Windows 11 and performed significantly better than ever on the previous OS version, maintaining stable FPS through cut-scenes and in direct gameplay with complex architectures and interactions.
Windows 11 has already revolutionized PC gaming
From our own experience with games like The God of War, Uncharted 4 Legacy of Thieves, and many other high-end titles, Windows 11 performs amazingly.
As video games are becoming more and more realistic and eating up a lot of RAM, the requirements for the GPU and the processor also increase drastically. Evenhigh-end PCs are not exempted from game stuttering, so having agaming-optimized OS like Windows 11can make a huge difference.
It could be that we will see never-before witnessed gaming specs for Windows 11, maybe even a dedicated version, in the future, which could feature other improvements, including more efficient use of resources and memory.
Microsoft is also improving Xbox integration into Windows 11 which has effectively replaced theold Games for Windows Live. The Xbox Game Bar and Windows Game Mode remain the same as Windows 10 and add more functionality and accessibility to these elements.
We look forward to finding out what other PS games will become available on PC while scouring the web for the latest releases to play on our Windows 11 PC.
