HP’s newest OmniBook Ultra is the first AMD Ryzen-powered Copilot+ PC AI notebook officially announced. The device was the subject of talks at the HP Imagine AI 2024, where the company showed off this tech with a big 14-inch display and abilities that might change what many think of as productivity.

What makes it different fromthe current Snapdragon-based Copilot+ PCsin the market is the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor, combined with integrated AMD Radeon 800M graphics, which ensures it provides strong and fluid performance.

According to the official website, the HP OmniBook Ultra is not only strong; it’s about smart power. It can give you as much as 55 TOPS of NPU output. The design allows this system to manage any task or function you throw at it—from demanding tasks requiring a lot of muscle power to simple operations—while ensuring your productivity levels don’t drop even slightly.

But there’s a catch: the complete AI PC functionality isn’t readily available once the package is opened. HP has said that this will be unlocked with a free Copilot+ PC update from Microsoft, but the date for this update has not been revealed.

Now, you may ask yourself, “And what about the battery’s lifespan?” To this, HP asserts that the OmniBook Ultra can endure for as long as 21 hours without recharging. Yes, it is not a mistake. 21 hours. Also, it has a 9 MP camera with AI capability, using Poly Camera Pro application and Windows Studio Effects for high-resolution video conversations.

However, HP is not done yet. Another device from the company is joining the OmniBook Ultra league and two new AIOs (All-In-One Desktop PCs). They are HP OmniStudio X 27″ and 31.5″ All-In-One Desktop PCs. These stunning machines can be powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor at maximum capacity with an optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU to give you even more power. They’re not just performance tools; they also care for your digital wellness, with features like screen time and distance reminders to reduce eye fatigue.

Okay, but when can you grab them? The HP OmniBook Ultra 14-inch Next Gen AI PC will be ready for sale in August on HP.com from US$1,449.99. Likewise, the OmniStudio X AIOs can also be obtained in August with a cost beginning at US$1,149.99.
