Some users might prefer to keep theirOutlookemails confidential. You can’tpasswordprotect specific emails in Outlook. However, you can set up apasswordfor anOutlookuser PST data file. Doing so will effectively apply apasswordto all emails within yourOutlookuser profile.
How do I password protect an email in Outlook?
Set up PST password
You can easily password protect an email in Outlook if you set up an user PST password for your account. All your files within Outlook will be password protected in this way.

OpenOutlook.

Select theFiletab.

Click theAccount Settingsbutton, and select theAccount Settingsoption.

Click theData Filestab on theAccount Settingswindow.

Select the PST data file to set up apasswordfor.

Click theSettingsbutton, which opens a window.

Press theChangePasswordbutton.

Enter something in theNewPasswordtext box.

Then enter thepasswordin the VerifyPasswordbox.

Press theOKbutton.

Close theOutlook application.
Add DataNumen Outlook Password Recovery to Windows
It might also be worth adding DataNumenOutlookPasswordRecovery to Windows. That’s a freeware program that enables users to retrieveOutlookPST files. So, it will come in handy if ever you forget the originalpasswordfor theOutlookPST.
Click theFree Downloadbutton on the DataNumenOutlook Password Recovery pageto get the installer for the software with which you can install it.
When you openOutlook, you’ll need to enter apasswordfor your user data PST. That will apply only to your own user account. Thus, those with other user profile PSTs will still be able to open their emails.
