Many who have a Fitbit product want to download the app on Windows 11, especially due to the bigger display and seamless interface. But that has been made more difficult over the years!
For anyone wondering whether it’s possible to install the Fitbit app on a PC, the answer is no. Fitbit, inOctober’22, discontinued theFitbit Connectapp for Windows and macOS. Two years later, inJuly’24, Fitbit announced the discontinuation of the web dashboard and moved all the features and functionalities to the Fitbit app, which is limited to Android and iOS.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t access it, input the data on the PC, or set goals. You can have it all without even directly installing the dedicated Fitbit Windows app!
How can I access the Fitbit app for Windows 11?
Since Fitbit has been discontinued for PCs, you are left with no option but to download an emulator and then install the app. Also, if you are an iPhone user, get areliable iOS emulator for Windows, although the options are limited here compared to Android.
Is Fitbit compatible with Windows 11?
No, Fitbit is not compatible with Windows 11, or for that matter, most PC-based operating systems, including macOS and Linux. TheFitbit Connectapp stopped working for Windows 11 fromOctober’22.
Although there’s another interesting aspect I must mention. Anyone who didn’t sign out of the Fitbit app for Windows 11 post-discontinuation still has access and can view/input the data. At least, that’s the case with most. So, if you, too, haven’t done that, I recommend remaining logged in.
As you can see, there are limited ways of using the Fitbit app on Windows 11. The dedicated app has been deprecated, the web dashboard has been discontinued, and you are only left with the option of getting an Android or iOS emulator. The latter, under ideal conditions, wouldn’t have been my first pick, but there’s no other way now!
Similarly, you canget the Fitbit app for Windows 10.
