OpenAI recently released theGPT-4o model, an improvement over GPT-4 in terms of performance and capabilities. Immediately, Microsoft confirmed the availability of GPT-4o in Azure AI in preview mode!
Microsoft, in theofficial blog post, said,
GPT-4o will currently be available only in two US regions, with a global release likely planned for later. Available inAzure OpenAI Studio, the latest OpenAI model will initially focus on text and vision inputs. Audio and video capabilities are expected to be enhanced next!
Microsoft also shared scenarios where GPT-4o can help enterprises overcome existing challenges or streamline current tasks. This includes customer service, advanced analytics, and content innovation.
Given the ability to quickly and efficiently analyze the data, GPT-4o will considerably enhance the experience for the enterprise’s customers. The content creation capabilities also received a significant upgrade in the latest model, allowing the generation of more engaging content.
The immediate availability of GPT-4o on Azure AI is a result ofMicrosoft’s investment in OpenAI worth billions of dollars. Although, some current and ex-employees are upset withMicrosoft’s over reliance on OpenAI.
For the unversed, OpenAI has also unveiled adedicated ChatGPT app for macOS. A Windows app is under development and will be released before the end of the year.
