Wallpaper support on the new tab page is available in Firefox Nightly

According to keen-eyed users onReddit, Mozilla has recently added wallpaper support to the Firefox Nightly and you can see the new wallpapers on the new tab page.

Users can easily enable this feature and choose one of several available backgrounds to customize the new tab page.

Although Firefox has supported all sorts of customization features with various extensions, that’s not the case anymore.

Browsers such as Chrome and Edge had wallpaper support for a while, and Edge could even use videos as wallpapers.

It seems thatMozilla developers are working on this feature, and you can try it by doing the following:

It’s worth mentioning that Mozzila has one original wallpaper, while others are provided by Unsplash.

If you want to remove the current wallpaper, you can always use the Reset to default link. While the choice of wallpapers is fairly limited, we expect that Mozilla will add more wallpapers in the future.

This is a great feature, but it’s not the only one Mozilla is working on.Mozilla is testing Chrome’s text fragments in Firefox 126, andFirefox is also using an untrusted integrity levelthus boosting your security even further.
