Firefox is a great alternative to Chromium browsers with its approach to privacy and unique features.

If you’re a Firefox user, you’ll be pleased to hear that Firefox 126 has entered beta testing, and it’s coming with some minor improvements.

Firefox 126 brings minor changes according to recentFirefox release notes, and the first thing you’ll notice is the improved dialog for clearing user data.

All options in the dialog are now in a single column making it easier to select the ones you want to remove. It also gives the the size of data that you’ll be removing, which is useful.

Another new feature is the ability to show trending search suggestions. This feature is disabled by default, but if you enable it you can see the browsing trends in your area.

This has been available for a while in the US, but it seems that Mozilla is now rolling it out to other countries.

If you’re a web developer, you’ll be pleased to hear that Firefox 126 lets you toggle Split console in Developer tools.

This version also brings AV1 hardware-accelerated decoding on macOS for Apple Silicon M3 Mac devices, and better support for CSS properties.

Lastly, Cookie Banner Blocker and Quick Actions in the address bar are available in the beta, but no information is available regarding the general availability.

Overall, this is a decent update, and as for availability, we should see this version available on May 14th on the stable channel.

As for other improvements,Firefox will finally get wallpaper supporton the new tab page. Mozzila also plans to improve the security asFirefox will start using untrusted integrity levelby default.
