As Neowin writes, the Fallout franchise is seeing a spike in popularity, and the games saw almost five million players in a single day.

Bethesda shared this information on a Fallout Twitter page:

According to the tweet, Fallout 76 saw over one million players logging into the game in a single day.

As for other games, there were almost five million players across all Fallout games.

According to SteamDB’s data, Fallout 76 broke its record of all-time concurrent players with 75,000 active players on Steam.

As for Fallout 4, there were 165,000 players, and Fallout New Vegas had 43,000 active players.

Do keep in mind that these are just Steam numbers, and they don’t include players on other platforms. So, what’s the reason for the rising popularity of Fallout games?
