It’s safe to say the Fallout TV series was a smashing success bringing5 million players to the Fallout franchise in a single day.

This is great news for developers, and Microsoft is planning to capitalize on the success of the TV series by speeding up the development of Fallout 5.

Microsoft might shift its focus to developing Fallout 5

It’s no secret that the Fallout TV show brought thousands of players back to Fallout, and asGamingBolt writes, Microsoft might focus more on the development of the next Fallout game.

This information comes from Jez Corden who was on the Xbox Two podcast with Rand al Thor 19. He said the following:

They’re currently formulating plans on how to get the next Fallout, here for us, sooner rather than later.

As you know, Bethesda is working hard on The Elder Scrolls 6, and even Todd Howard stated that the Fallout sequel is coming, but after The Elder Scrolls 6 is released.

The question remains, who will develop the next Fallout game if these rumors are true?

Rumors have it that Obsidian Entertainment, a team behind the fan-favorite Fallout: New Vegas, might work on the game, or maybe a separate team would be hired for this task.

These are just rumors, and currently, nothing has been confirmed by Microsoft or Bethesda, so we’ll have to wait a bit more for official news.

If you can’t wait to go back into wasteland, you’ll be pleased to hear that Fallout 4 next-gen update is here. Do keep in mind thatQuality Mode isn’t working Fallout 4 on Xbox Series X.
