Two months ago, in February 2024, we learned that Microsoft was working on theCircle to Copilot featurefor Microsoft Edge. According to the latest post on X (formerly known as Twitter) byLeopeva64, Microsoft is also testing Scribble to Copilot.

Here what’s the post says:

In addition to “Circle to Copilot”, Microsoft is now testing “Scribble to Copilot” ?:https://t.co/pF0iVSiyQH.https://t.co/0FXmKEuILspic.twitter.com/6jQXiGCFJg

This feature is quite similar to Android’s Circle to Search feature, and this is not the first time we have observed a resemblance.

According to the latest animation of Circle to Copilot, there’s a motion that starts from the bottom of the screen and moves upward, accompanied by a translucent filter with color applied while awaiting user selection.

The process is similar to the activation method for the Circle to Search feature, which is available on the Google Pixel 8 and Samsung S24 series.

As we are talking about similar features and ease of use of AI assistants for daily queries, Microsoft has recently added theScreenshot to Copilotfeature, which involves capturing screenshots and drawing a circle around the intended element with the help of the right mouse button. Then, the selected image will be sent to Windows Copilot.

Though the activation methods for these features, which we discussed on Edge, Google, and even Windows Copilot, are different, they all help users refine their searches.
