Microsoft Edge is a popular browser in the Windows ecosystem that has introduced some great features in the last year. Its officialXhandle is quite active, posting regularly on the social media giant. But one of the recent trending posts with over2Mviews led to extensive trolling of Microsoft Edge!
The episode started with Edge posting a tweet aimed at creating awareness about the dangers of running an outdated browser.
You. Yes, you. It’s time to leave that outdated browser ?
The first few hours went by fine, with a healthy engagement between Microsoft Edge’s official handle and its active users.
Soon, someone at Firefox’s social media team saw a chance at trolling Edge and took it. And why not? Healthy banter between market competitors should always be encouraged.
You said it, not us ?https://t.co/NDlkXGNFxT
Then came Brave with its hilarious response to Microsoft Edge’s (now failed) awareness campaign.

Amongst major browsers, Vivaldi was the last one to jump in, but it had quite a humorous jibe.
YES! Self-awareness is key! ?https://t.co/4wei70xpGZ
While one expects that this would have put an end to the trolling, users, too, took a dig at Edge. Probably, for all the times it automaticallyreappeared on the desktop, kept sending notifications, or launched at startup.
But, the trolling amongst users was limited. Most of the responses, as expected, were positive, not because it’s an exceptional browser (not denying it either), but because most users don’t bother complaining, especially under the comments section of a post on a social media platform!
Anyway, we had a great15minutes going through the comments section of the post, and the responses by Firefox, Brave, and Vivavdi were spot on!
Don’t make an impression of Edge based on these comments.Edge has AI-powered features, making it one of the first browsers to do so. Besides, recentimprovements in Microsoft Edgehave helped it increase its market share.
Do you have any comments for Microsoft Edge, or maybe continue the trolling? If yes, share it with our readers in the comments section.
