A few hours ago, onMay 27, 2024,the officialX (formerly Twitter)handle ofDragon Questconfirmed the release ofDragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.

Thepostread,The legend of Erdrick draws near, with a 20-second video titledThe legacy begins. At the bottom, there was a list of supported platforms for the soon-to-be-released game, which includedNintendo Switch,PlayStation 5,Xbox Series X|S,Steam, andWindows.

The post, however, failed to mention the release date or share other details, leading to some confusion. Many were left wondering whether this was theDragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remakethat was previously announced or a teaser for the remake of the entire trilogy. Because the logo at the top-left corner simply readsDragon Quest!

For the unversed,Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remakewas announced three years ago, inMay’21. Square Enix, at the time, had said,

It now seems like the developers have scrapped their console-only plans and are releasing the title across all popular platforms.
