Days after announcing that Copilot would act asan assistant capable of providing an interactive tutorial to new Microsoft Forms users, the Redmond-based tech giant updated the Microsoft 365 Roadmap to announce that the platform will have Copilot come up with Smart Reminders to increase form engagement.

According to the entry, if any of your Microsoft Forms projects don’t do well, or don’t meet the expectations, you’ll be able to set up Copilot to send Smart Reminders to users.

How? Well, the AI model will constantly keep an eye out for Microsoft Forms projects’ engagements and submission status. If they are low, Copilot, with the manager’s consent, will auto-notify those participants who didn’t fill out the form or have forgotten to do so.

This way, Copilot will be proactively checking the status of forms made on the platform, and through Smart Reminders, it will take actions to increase their engagements.

This is not all, though. Accordingto the entry, which you can read below, forms’ owners will be notified when there is enough data to conclude.

Copilot smart reminder will monitor and proactively share engagement and submission status to a form’s owner in order to suggest follow-up actions. For example, when there is low engagement from audience, with the owner’s consent, it will auto-notify unresponded or all participants to pay attention and fill in the forms or quizzes. Also, Copilot smart reminder can remind owners to check the form’s insights when there are sufficient responses to make decisions.

Microsoft Forms will allow Copilot to send out Smart Reminders starting next month, in May 2024. It is unclear if it’s a gradual or immediate rollout. Still, keeping the tradition of the other features released so far, these Smart Reminders will most likely be released gradually.

The feature will be quite useful to marketers, managers, and admins using Microsoft Forms for internal or external quizzes, forms, questionnaires, and so on.
