While it was already available in thePreviewmode to a handful of users, the Cocreator feature, powered byDall-E, in Microsoft Paint is now official!

Talking about the feature at theSurface Event 2024, Microsoft explained that it can be used to generate images and doodles in the native Paint app based on text prompts, much like how Copilot or ChatGPT does it.

The best part is that it’s integrated into the Paint app!

Recently, Microsoft introduced aCreativityslider for Cocreator to help users configure how much of the image generation and refining has to be done by AI. The feature is still in the works, and there should be further enhancements in the coming months.

Having used Cocreator for a few months now, I can say that it’s one of the best additions to Microsoft Paint in recent years, and it really enhances the entire experience. Now, I don’t have to start from scratch every time, but can use the AI-powered feature to draw(even better)images.

Recently,Microsoft renamed Cocreator to Image Creator, but it seems like the new name hasn’t caught up yet.
