Blackbird Interactive shares system requirements for Homeworld 3, most PCs should be able to run it

In a surprising move,Blackbird Interactiveshared the detailed system requirements forHomeworld 3weeks before launch. The game is set to hit release onMay 13, 2024.

The comprehensivelist of system requirementsfor the different graphical performance scenarios shared byBlackbird Interactivehelps get some insights into the level of performance and gameplay you will experience on your PC.

As for the minimum requirements or theLowin-game graphics preset, you need anIntel i5-8600KorAMD Ryzen 5 3600XCPU,NVIDIA GTX 1060or an equivalent GPU,12 GBRAM, and6 GBVRAM, which is pretty basic.

Even for the recommended and high segments, the system requirements are pretty reasonable when it comes to CPU, not requiring anything aboveIntel i7-12700KorAMD Ryzen 7 5800X. And there’s a reason for it, as explained byBlackbird InteractivetoPC GAMER.

An even more surprising aspect ofHomeworld 3’ssystem requirements is the storage. It’s just40 GB!

That’s way too low, considering modern popular titles can easily occupy double that.Baldur’s Gate 3needs150 GBof free storage, whileHelldivers 2requires100 GB.

Blackbird Interactivehasn’t yet shared what FPS(frame rate per second)we can expect under the different graphical performance scenarios. But withHomeworld 3’slaunch just weeks away, we won’t have to wait that long to find out!
