The last few days have been very exciting at Microsoft, especially theBuild 2024event, where the company unveiled its flagshipCopilot+ PCs. But there was another announcement that many missed: Microsoft’s collaboration with Cognition AI!

With the partnership in place,Devin, an AI-powered software developer, will now be available to customers. According toMicrosoft’s official blog, it will help developers with intricate tasks like code migration and modernization projects.

Reports suggest thatDevinis more capablethan the available alternatives. It doesn’t just write code but helps troubleshoot coding errors and inform developers of the real-time progress.

Speaking about Devin, Microsoft’s CTO Kevin Scott said,

Also, as is the case with most of Microsoft’s recent collaborations, Cognition AI’sDevinwill now be powered by Azure, the Redmond-based tech giant’s native cloud computing and AI platform. Recently, Seimens, upon collaborating with Microsoft,movedXceleratorto Azure.

These collaborations have helpedMicrosoft Azureemerge as a key playerin the cloud computing landscape, outperformingAmazon Web ServiceandGoogle Cloud.

Besides, the collaboration comes at a time whenCognition AIclaims a$2billion valuation after raising$175million in recent funding. Not to forget, the startup was founded just six months ago inNov’23. This is a significant feat for a startup still pretty much in its infancy!
