On May 1, 2024, Anthropicannounced an iOS app for its Claude 3 AI modelsimilar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT. The recent unveiling by Anthropic extends the list of AI chatbot apps for mobile devices.

Not to forget, there’s a separate mobile application for other popular AI chatbots too. This includes Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and more.

Anthropic’s Claude iOS app lets you interact with the chatbot. You can also upload photos and ask the Claude AI chatbot for an explanation like you’d do with Microsoft Copilot.

Previously, you could use Claude through a website, API, and other Claude-powered apps. The company says an Android app is also in the works and coming soon.

Notably, theiOS app is currently free to downloadfor all the Claude Pro users including those who are also using the free version. This is further applicable to the subscribers of the latest Claude Team plan.

Back in March, Anthropic announced three different model sizes forClaude 3LLM. It included Claude Opus, Claude Sonnet, and Claude Haiku. Notably, the latest iOS app leverages Sonnet and Opus for regular and Pro uses, respectively.

Besides, Claude’s web and mobile app version syncs the conversation history when you log in. That means, you can access all the conversation history in the web app even if you have interacted with the chatbot in the mobile app and vice-versa.

Not only did Anthropic announce its Claude iOS app, but it also launched a new subscription for group collaboration called Team Plan.

Claude Team Plan and its benefits

As far as theClaude Team Planis concerned, Anthropic has designed it for a group of at least five users which will cost $30 per month per user. Talking of benefits, the new Team Plan offers more chat queries and access to all three language models.

The Team Plan also provides a 200K token window for businesses to process lengthy documents like research papers, discuss complex topics, and maintain multi-step conversations like customer support inquiries. The plan further offers admin tools and billing management.

Undoubtedly, Anthropic has been a vital part of the AI industry for a while now. But entering the mobile app space could be challenging given that established players like Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI are already ruling it. Therefore, it’ll be interesting to see the feedback from the users down the line.
