AI-capable PCs will soon be hot-selling products as manufacturers continue integrating more AI-oriented features into devices!

A report byCanalysshares a projection of an increased adoption rate for AI PCs among users.

It predicts that19%of the PCs sold in2024will haveArtificial Intelligencecapabilities, increasing to37%in2025, followed by53%in2026and60%in2027. And by2030, nearly100%of those shipped will be AI PCs!

While these figures may look far-fetched to a few, Microsoft has alreadycalled 2024 the year of AI PCs.

The Redmond-based tech giant’s idea of an AI PC includes anNPU(Neural Processing Unit)chip, Microsoft Copilot, a dedicated Copilot key, and the latest CPU and GPU to perform resource-intensive tasks seamlessly.

Manufacturers like Intel and AMD are alreadyworking alongside Microsoftin the push for AI PCs. With these becoming mainstream, Intel and AMD stand a chance to recover the losses accrued over the last few years.

In 2024, everyone is competing in the AI race.Microsoft is planning to purchase 1.8 million AI chips, Intel isunveiling AI-oriented chips, and AMD is bringingnew AI-powered processors.

Besides, we can’t forget NVIDIA, a company whose stock value surged ever since the AI revolution, and it soon became the third-largest company globally in terms of market capitalization.

With features like Copilot andAI Explorer(to be released soon) in Windows andMicrosoft’s plans to investmore in the technology, the aim of AI-powered PCs in every home will be achieved sooner than many expected. Maybe not by 2030, but the day is not too far away!

It looks like no one, be it the manufacturer or buyers, wants to miss out on AI!
