Microsoft’s collaboration with OpenAI and other firms working on AI is finally delivering the results it wanted. Figures coming in suggest thatMicrosoft Azureis set to take onAmazon Web Service (AWS)andGoogle Cloud!
According to a report published inReuters,Microsoft Azure, the tech giant’s cloud computing platform, is expected to grow by28.9%inQ1, 2024. In comparison,Amazon Web ServiceandGoogle Cloudwill witness an estimated growth of14.9%and25%,respectively.
This further bridges the gap between the market share of the top two players, Microsoft and Amazon!
Behind this meteoric rise of Microsoft are billions of dollars of investments it has made in AI over the last few years.
Microsoft’s collaboration with OpenAIandinvestments in firms across Europeand the Middle East, amongst other regions, have helped it integrate more and more AI-powered, user-oriented features intoMicrosoft Azure.
This led to users switching fromAmazon Web Serviceto the Redmond-based tech giant’s cloud computing platform,Microsoft Azure. However, experts are certain that Amazon won’t sit back and let Microsoft capture the market. According toReuter’sreport, analysts D.A. Davidson and Gil Luria believe,

We will have to wait another few days as the top three players,Microsoft Azure,Amazon Web Service, andGoogle Cloud, share the official figures to ascertain Microsoft’s dominance in the market.
