ADATA’s newest handheld gaming console, the brand-new XPG NIA, will be unveiled and released at this year’s Computex conference, which takes place from June 4 to June 7 in Taipei, Taiwan.
In a press release published recently (viaTechPowerUp), the tech company didn’t share any pictures or details about the new handheld, other than a brief, but exciting description.
The company says gamers will be able to mod their XPG NIA handheld gaming console to suit their gaming preferences and unique style. The console will also combine superior ergonomics to create comfortable gaming experiences. This is a clear sign the upcoming console was made to be played for hours.
Additionally, the XPG NIA handheld gaming console will also be the first of its kind to pioneer the EYEWEAR eye-tracking technologies to allow for more immersive gaming sessions. Here’s what ADATA says:
In addition to a full range of mobile peripherals to simplify the lifestyles of consumers around the world, ADATA’s gaming brand XPG will be launching a gaming handheld PC at Computex. XPG’s stunning masterpiece, the new XPG NIA, combines superior ergonomics with a circular computing design to create an ultra-comfortable experience so gamers can play nonstop or mod the device to their liking. XPG NIA will also pioneer the use of EYEWEAR eye-tracking technology which lets you enjoy the ultimate immersive gaming experience from anywhere!
The new XPG NIA will most likely use Windows 11 and its main operating system, and it’s a smart choice, considering the operating system isperfect for gaming.
Since ADATA is betting on the comfortable gaming experiences side of it, we’re expecting it to have a large battery that could make it last for about 3 to 4 hours of uninterrupted gaming. Maybe this could be the field the new XPG NIA might excel, as all theother handheld consolesare currently struggling with it. Fortunately, we don’t have to wait that long.
Aside from the new handheld console, which could become serious competition to the likes ofLegion GO, Steam Deck, or Asus Rog Ally, ADATA will also showcase several new devices: the world’s first AI gaming laptop, XPG XENIA 15G, which can carry up SSDs of up to 24 TB, and 96 GB of DRAM.
The company will also showcase an overclocked DDR5 8000 R-DIMM, which is designed to make AI computers run faster and smoother. The age of AI computing is already upon us, so ADATA will be joining the crowd with its new LPCAMM2 memory products. They comply with the JEDEC standards and are capable of achieving speeds of up to 7,500 MT/s due to their integration with LPDDR5/5X DRAM ICs.
ADATA will be releasing them in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB variants.
